Day 1 – 16.09. Focal Point: Spiritual Hunger – “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” (Matt. 4:4) Pray and surrender your body and your soul to His Spirit, asking Him to fill and to sanctify you. Read or listen daily to his word. God’s word and prayer is your life and strength over the next 30 days. Pray that God will speak to you through His Holy Spirit.

Day 2 – 17.09. Focal Point: Your Work – “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” (Col. 3:17) Even if you do not have “work”, we all have tasks we do whether we are paid for or it or not. Reflect on the work you do throughout your day. Ask God to bring more of His purpose and will to your work. Pray that you would be a blessing to those you work with.

Day 3 – 18.09. Focal Point: The Youth of Bregenz – “How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to Your word.” (Ps. 119:9) Pray that a strong youth group to be raised up in the FCG Bregenz. Pray that workers will be raised up to reach the youth in Bregenz who do not know Jesus. Pray for a revival among the youth in Bregenz.

Day 4 – 19.09. Focal Point: Your Friends – “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.” (Phil. 2:3) Reflect on your friends, both past and present. Lift up each by name and ask God to show His love and grace to these persons today. Pray for your friends to come to Jesus. Also, thank God for your friends and the joy they have brought into your life.

Day 5 – 20.09. Focal Point: The Body of Christ in Vorarlberg – “Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.” (1 Cor. 12:12 and 18) Pray for the body of Christ in Vorarlberg in different churches. All churches are under attack from the enemy. Pray that God’s will be done and seen through the churches in Vorarlberg. Pray that the churches in Vorarlberg would grow and reach the lost.

Day 6 – 21.09. Focal Point: Persecuted Christians – “My times are in your hands; deliver me from the hands of my enemies, from those who pursue me.” (Ps. 31:15) All around the world Christians are being persecuted. Pray that God would give them strength to follow the Lord, even though they are suffering. Pray especially for Christians in China, Iran, North Korea, and Saudi Arabia that their governments would relax laws against Christians. Pray for ministries that help and support persecuted Christians throughout the world.

Day 7 – 22.09. Focal Point: Spiritual mentors in your life – “The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.” (Phil. 4:9) Reflect on all the people who have shaped you into the person you are today in Christ. Thank God for your mentors, both past and present. Pray that God would strengthen and bless them, as they continue to serve Jesus.

Day 8 – 23.09. Focal Point: Kids’ Club – “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Lk. 19:14) Pray that at a young age every child who attends Kids’ Club would come into a personal relationship with Christ. Pray that more workers would be raised up to work in Kids’ Club and reach the children of Bregenz with the Gospel.

Day 9 – 24.09. Focal Point: Your Health – “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.” (1 Cor. 6:19-20) Good health is something we all need, whether we have physical problems or not. The world we live in is very hostile and affects not only our bodies, but our hearts and minds as well. Spend some time reflecting on where you need God’s healing in your life. Perhaps it is a physical healing or maybe an emotional one. Pray also for those you know who need healing in their body and emotions.

Day 10 – 25.09. Focal Point: Your Dreams for the future – “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” (Eph. 3:19–20) We all have, or had, dreams in our lives. Often times, dreams are not realized, for many reasons. What might you be dreaming of today? Bring it before God and ask Him to help you in your quest. Ask Him to reveal His will in your dream. Maybe you find yourself today without a vision for your life, talk to God about this and seek His will.

Day 11 – 26.09. Focal Point: The Government – “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chr.7:14) Pray today for your local and national government. Pray that God’s will be done and that your civic leaders would hear God in their lives and respond courageously to His call. Pray especially for the Austrian National Election on September 29, that men and women be elected who will follow Biblical truths.

Day 12 – 27.09. Focal Point: Forgiveness – “Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do you.” (Col. 3:12) Jesus told the disciples that we should forgive not 7 times, but 7 times 70. Forgiveness is not natural to any of us; we all need God’s power, grace and love to fully take our forgiveness to a new, holy level. Turn to God and ask Him to help you with those you may be harboring a grudge or past hurt. Ask God to help you release that pain into His arms. Ask Him for guidance on how to move forward.

Day 13 – 28.09. Focal Point: New Believers – “For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” (1 Cor. 3:11) Pray for the new believers you know who are a part of the FCG Bregenz. Pray that they would become established in their faith and lead others to Jesus. Pray for those who are struggling in their faith with doubt and fear.

Day 14 – 29.09. Focal Point: Workers in the Church – “Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.’” (Matt. 9:37–38) Pray for the various teams of workers in the FCG Bregenz. Here is the list: Kids’ Club, Welcome Team, Café Team, Cleaning Team, Media Team, Music Team, Translation Team and others. Pray that each team would have more than enough workers. Pray that everyone attending the FCG Bregenz would find their place to serve in the church. Pray that each team member be encouraged and experience joy to serve.

Day 15 – 30.09. Focal Point: People Who Do Not Know Jesus – “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” (2 Pet. 3:9) There are many people we personally know who need Jesus. Pray specifically for those people today by name and ask the Lord to come into their lives. Ask the Lord to help you be a witness to your friends and work colleagues.

Day 16 – 01.10. Focal Point: People You Have Hurt – “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” (Ps. 139: 23–24) Unfortunately, there are people in your life you have hurt. It is part of being human; we are not perfect. Whether you intended it or not, people have been hurt by your actions, or inactions. Pray to God about these situations and ask for His direction on how to proceed.

Day 17 – 02.10. Focal Point: Christian Leaders – “Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.” (Heb. 13:7) Christian leaders always need prayer. Since we live in a world of darkness, Christian leaders are always under attack. Pray that God’s presence always outshines darkness in their lives. Pray that they do not fall under temptation to follow the ways of the world and that God is their primary pursuit. Pray that Go

Day 18 – 03.10. Focal Point: Your Neighbors – “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matt. 5:16) Maybe you know your neighbors or maybe you don’t. Ask that God’s presence is realized among them today and that their day is filled with His goodness. Pray that they too would come to know Christ.

Day 19 – 04.10. Focal Point: Your Stress – “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Matt. 11:28–29) What is stressing you today? Maybe it’s bills? Health issues? Children? Family or work problems? Whatever it is occupying your heart and mind, turn to God with the stressor in hand and give it over to Him today. Repeat this practice as much as needed, because stress is not easily defeated with one simple prayer.

Day 20 – 05.10. Focal Point: Your Calling – “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.” (Heb. 12:1–2a) Do you realize we all have a calling? Most are not called to full- time Christian work, but we are all called to work in the Kingdom of God. Maybe you already are aware of your calling. If so, turn to God and continue to seek His guidance and Fruit in your calling. If you are not sure what you are called to do, turn to God and start a dialogue about where He is calling you and equipping you to serve. Speak to a pastor or mature Christian who can help you find your calling.

Day 21 – 06.10. Focal Point: FCG Sunday Worship Services – “I rejoiced with those who said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.” (Ps. 122,1) Pray that the Holy Spirit would be experienced by every person who attends church in the FCG Bregenz. Pray especially, that non-believers would attend church and come to know Christ. Pray for those who preach or lead worship, that they be anointed by the Holy Spirit, as they serve the church each Sunday.

Day 22 – 07.10. Focal Point: Your Enemies – “But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.” (Lk. 6:27–28) Try to think of all of the people who are your enemies. Maybe it is people in your everyday life, or perhaps you consider your enemies to be political leaders or other notable figures. Turn to God with all the people who you find fault with and talk to Him about why they bother you. Seek God’s guidance and will as you speak with Him about your enemies. Bless your enemies!

Day 23 – 08.10. Focal Point: Your Church Family – “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” (Heb. 10, 23–25) Pray today for your brothers and sister by name in the church. Many have needs that you are aware of. Pray that God would meet these needs. Pray by name that every brother and sister be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. Pray that each brother and sister in the Lord would do God’s will and experience His blessings.

Day 24 – 09.10. Focal Point: Your Worries – “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” (Matt.6:33–34) What are you worried about today? Bring your concern(s) before God and know that He will guide you through your worries. Ask Him for His wisdom in this matter and trust that He will provide the answer.

Day 25 – 10.10. Focal Point: Protection from the Enemy – “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Eph. 6:10–12) Pray for protection from our enemy Satan. Pray that we as his people be not ignorant about his evil schemes. Pray that every believer in our church would have the discipline, knowledge and ability to fight with the spiritual weapons God has given us.

Day 26 – 11.10. Focal Point: Where You Live – “Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” (Jer. 29:7) Thank God for the city or village where you live. Thank Him for how He has provided a roof over your head and food to eat. Pray for those you know in your village or city, that they would come to know Jesus. Pray for the mayor and those who work for the city or village.

Day 27 – 12.10. Focal Point: Finances – “’Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.’” (Mal. 3:10) Pray that God would grant you and others in the church financial abundance. Pray that God would help us to be good stewards with all that He has given us. Pray that we would have the right heart to glorify God through our giving to the Kingdom.

Day 28 – 13.10. Focal Point: Rest – “There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.” (Heb. 4:10–11) Thank God today for the ability to rest. Speak to Him about how you use this necessary gift. Ask God to help you live in a less hectic manner. Seek His will in your utilization of rest and listen for His direction.

Day 29 – 14.10. Focal Point: Power to follow the great Commission – “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.” (Ro. 1:16) Pray that you receive the Holy Spirit’s power to boldly proclaim the Gospel and not “shrink back” in fear of men. Pray that the entire FCG family would share the Good News with the lost. Jesus is the Answer for the word today!

Day 30 – 15.10. Focal Point: Reflecting on God’s great Love – “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.” (1 John 3:1) Thank God that you have experienced his love and care. Thank God for all the difficult times he has brought you through in your life. Pray that your friends and family too experience personally the love of God.
