Day 1 – 16.09. Focal Point: Spiritual Hunger – “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” (Matt. 4:4) Pray and surrender your body and your soul to His Spirit, asking Him to fill and to sanctify you. Read or listen daily to his word. God’s word and prayer is your life and strength over the next 30 days. Pray that God will speak to you through His Holy Spirit.
Day 2 – 17.09. Focal Point: Your Work – “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” (Col. 3:17) Even if you do not have “work”, we all have tasks we do whether we are paid for or it or not. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.” (Phil. 2:3) Reflect on your friends, both past and present. Lift up each by name and ask God to show His love and grace to these persons today. Pray for your friends to come to Jesus. Also, thank God for your friends and the joy they have brought into your life.
Day 5 – 20.09. Focal Point: The Body of Christ in Vorarlberg – “Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.” (1 Cor. 12:12 and 18) Pray for the body of Christ in Vorarlberg in different churches. All churches are under attack from the enemy. Pray that God’s will be done and seen through the churches in Vorarlberg. Pray that the churches in Vorarlberg would grow and reach the lost.
Day 6 – 21.09. Focal Point: Persecuted Christians – “My times are in your hands; deliver me from the hands of my enemies, from those who pursue me.” (Ps. 31:15) All around the world Christians are being persecuted. Pray that God would give them strength to follow the Lord, even though they are suffering. Day 9 – 24.09. Focal Point: Your Health – “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.” (1 Cor. 6:19-20) Good health is something we all need, whether we have physical problems or not. The world we live in is very hostile and affects not only our bodies, but our hearts and minds as well. Spend some time reflecting on where you need God’s healing in your life. Perhaps it is a physical healing or maybe an emotional one. Pray also for those you know who need healing in their body and emotions.
Day 10 – 25.09. Forgiveness is not natural to any of us; we all need God’s power, grace and love to fully take our forgiveness to a new, holy level. Turn to God and ask Him to help you with those you may be harboring a grudge or past hurt. Ask God to help you release that pain into His arms. Ask Him for guidance on how to move forward.

It is part of being human; we are not perfect. Whether you intended it or not, people have been hurt by your actions, or inactions. Pray to God about these situations and ask for His direction on how to proceed.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Matt. 11:28–29) What is stressing you today? Maybe it’s bills? Health issues? Children? Family or work problems? Whatever it is occupying your heart and mind, turn to God with the stressor in hand and give it over to Him today. Repeat this practice as much as needed, because stress is not easily defeated with one simple prayer.
Day 20 – 05.10. Focal Point: Your Calling – “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.” (Heb. 12:1–2a) Do you realize we all have a calling? Most are not called to full- time Christian work, but we are all called to work in the Kingdom of God. Maybe you already are aware of your calling. If so, turn to God and continue to seek His guidance and Fruit in your calling. Maybe it is people in your everyday life, or perhaps you consider your enemies to be political leaders or other notable figures. Turn to God with all the people who you find fault with and talk to Him about why they bother you. Seek God’s guidance and will as you speak with Him about your enemies. Bless your enemies!
Day 23 – 08.10. Focal Point: Your Church Family – “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” (Heb. 10, 23–25) Pray today for your brothers and sister by name in the church. Many have needs that you are aware of. Pray that God would meet these needs. Pray by name that every brother and sister be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. Pray that each brother and sister in the Lord would do God’s will and experience His blessings.
Day 24 – 09.10. Focal Point: Your Worries – “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” (Matt.6:33–34) What are you worried about today? Bring your concern(s) before God and know that He will guide you through your worries. Ask Him for His wisdom in this matter and trust that He will provide the answer.
Day 25 – 10.10. Focal Point: Protection from the Enemy – “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Eph. 6:10–12) Pray for protection from our enemy Satan. Pray that we as his people be not ignorant about his evil schemes. Pray that every believer in our church would have the discipline, knowledge and ability to fight with the spiritual weapons God has given us.
Day 26 – 11.10. Focal Point: Where You Live – “Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” (Jer. 29:7) Thank God for the city or village where you live. Thank Him for how He has provided a roof over your head and food to eat. Pray for those you know in your village or city, that they would come to know Jesus. Pray for the mayor and those who work for the city or village.
Day 27 – 12.10. Focal Point: Finances – “’Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Pray that God would help us to be good stewards with all that He has given us. Pray that we would have the right heart to glorify God through our giving to the Kingdom.
Day 28 – 13.10. Focal Point: Rest – “There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.” (Heb. 4:10–11) Thank God today for the ability to rest. Speak to Him about how you use this necessary gift. Ask God to help you live in a less hectic manner. Seek His will in your utilization of rest and listen for His direction.
Day 29 – 14.10. Focal Point: Power to follow the great Commission – “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.” (Ro. 1:16) Pray that you receive the Holy Spirit’s power to boldly proclaim the Gospel and not “shrink back” in fear of men. Pray that the entire FCG family would share the Good News with the lost. Jesus is the Answer for the word today!
Day 30 – 15.10. Focal Point: Reflecting on God’s great Love – “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.” (1 John 3:1) Thank God that you have experienced his love and care. Thank God for all the difficult times he has brought you through in your life. Pray that your friends and family too experience personally the love of God.
